THE SHAKESPEARE CHANNEL

The next move forward in the realm of Shakespeare is an exciting new venture called the Shakespeare Channel.
Scenes involving opera and ballet versions are already being planned as well as some powerful interpretations of scenes from Richard III and Hamlet.
Directors will be invited to film scenes from various Shakespeare plays including some cases where the same scene is filmed differently by a number of directors. This will allow us to see various interpretations back to back and to explore a variety of possibilities in the production of Shakespeare. We hope that some of these interpretations might catch the attention of investors and make it possible to produce full-length films of these interpretations.
The Shakespeare Channel will also include discussions of the process of creating Shakespeare and discussions about various books, articles, stage productions, and films of Shakespeare's works.
Filming for the Shakespeare channel is ongoing. Any and all projects will be considered. Very interested in working with people who have a passion for the works of Shakespeare.
If you are interested in creating some work for the Shakespeare Channel, please send a short description of your project that tells what scene you wish to do and explains your basic approach to the scene. Also include any casting that is already done.
If we think this is something that can be done for the channel, then we will meet and discuss the details.
From my viewpoint, there should be no artistic limitations, and even if it contains aspects that can't be shown on YouTube, we should produce it anyway and work to establish various platforms where we can present these works.
At first, we're looking to film all these things inexpensively and on very limited sets. The main focus should be on the acting and interpretation.
Of course because this is for YouTube, there should also be some emphasis on the visual aspects such as costumes, props, or small set pieces.
Our main goal is to create Shakespeare that has interesting interpretations and interesting visuals.
The value of the channel is to put all these things together where Shakespeare fans or those seeking educational resources can find them.
